The servings were generous! I love the carrot cake as well. It’s very rich and dense. I’d love to try more of there sweets when I get the chance back. Overall happy with the fast service.

The burger was packed! I was full ONLY from Having the burger. The fish burger was amazing - very nicely fried and fresh. The chips were the best I’ve ever had - they stayed crunchy even after almost an hour. Everyone who comes to Strattie needs to try this!!

This place is a hidden gem that delivers at every hour. Mornings start strong with top-notch breakfast dishes — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served. Then lunch kicks it up a notch with some of the best burgers I’ve had: juicy, homemade, and full of personality. But the real surprise comes at night, when the café transforms with a new menu and special dishes that change regularly. The nightly special is always a standout — you can tell there’s real passion in the kitchen. Another big plus: you can call ahead, place your order, and everything’s ready by the time you arrive. Perfect if you’re short on time but still want great food. Highly recommended!

On 17Aug we had lunch at Straddie Eats. I booked a table a few hours ahead of time through the booking link on Google maps - very easy and pretty much instant confirmation as there were 17 of us on a day trip to N Straddie. We’ve been here a couple of times now. The first time, just by chance as we were looking for an alternative to the hotel that we usually go to but they are closed for Reno. Everyone enjoyed the food they chose. Lots of options on the menu. If you are after something light from the cabinet, the Straddie Pie is very good! Or something more substantial, order off the menu. There were burgers, wraps, salads to name a few things that were ordered - Nicely presented, tasty and food came out fairly quickly and reasonably priced and served with a smile from the chef and the other staff. It’s a standard set up of indoor tables and chairs and some stools to sit up at and look out. We would definitely return for the great food and service. Oh and it’s licensed as well so you can have a cold one if you choose.

Last time I was on Minjerribah, this joint was named Chillers. A lot has changed in five years - so I decided to pay another visit. Service was swift and cordially polite. The breakfast burger was assembled nicely, and my coffee met expectations. On the expensive side relative to other local food outlets and grade of ingredients, the breakfast burger was just shy of $25 on its own. Perhaps some waffle fries or a side salad would add to the value proposition. That said, conveniently located and open 7 days a week that not a lot of places offer on the island.

This was my favorite place to eat on Straddie. The burger was especially good and so was the carrot cake. Nice variety of options to eat here.
